Game DVR: Record your microphone

There should be an option to record your pc mic when using game DVR. This would be awesome.

You can now use the Xbox App on Windows ten and Game Bar to record clips and record your microphone! While streaming a game from your Xbox One, press Windows+G to activate Game Bar, and you can check the box to record your mic. This is why play station is so much *** better than Xbox one pathetic Microsoft

Xbox is officially not content creator friendly. If they want to help creators, they’d figure out how to do their game captures like Playstion does, rather than randomly excluding talk audio from clips. Who thought that was remotely a good idea? They should be fired, all of them, because that’s borderline intentional sabotage.

How in the world does Xbox not have this yet? My friends got me to spend a month creating content on Xbox with them and now it’s all futile because there’s no comma audio. Going back to PlayStation, since they actually make content creation realistic

Using streaming to Windows ten is NOT a solution. Whoever authorized this reaction and mark of "Ended" is insane and doesn’t understand ordinary logic.

This is NOT finished. We don’t want to have to use a separate Windows ten PC to accomplish. What a bunch of garbage.

Give me a break your 500€ maschine that has HD camera and microphone able to SKYPE and even moves th eye of the cam is incapable to record face and speech so basically what you say is I need another computer and microphone even if xbox is a computer and has a microphone and hd cam. Are you kidding me Bill?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME. This deep throats. All I want is to frigging make YouTube movies on the console. Your console costs enough. Do you truly think I want to go through all the crap of hooking up a frigging PC to my Xbox. Listen to your fans, Xbox. Nobody is glad about this, and your "voice over" option doesn’t work either, because YouTubers like myself don’t want to put in fake reactions AFTER the movie is filmed. Buy an outer recorder you say. Well, lets see, a camera gives me ZERO movie quality, and anything else is too expensive. Let us again notice that I’m FRIGGING POOR. So our only options are to give fake reactions, have a crap movie quality, or STREAM THROUGH WINDOWS Ten. It indeed says something about the capability of your programmers when you can’t pull THIS off. And you’re already thinking about Project Scorpio, which will be the "best console ever". Bullcrap. So thanks, Xbox, for NO MIC FUNCTIONALITY.

This is NOT Ended. The solution to "I want to record my voice on the Xbox One Game DVR" is not "use a Windows ten PC". It’s "we’ve added the capability to record your voice to the Xbox One Game DVR app". It’s not a big thing to ask. YouTube is awash with movies of people playing games and waffling over the top. My kids want to do this with multiplayer Minecraft, acting out little skits they’ve written. They can’t, because as it stands now this would require three Xboxes and a PC. Given that the Xbox One is running Windows ten now anyway, it should not be beyond the abilities of your developers to enable audio recording, should it?

Ok just attempted again just connecting microphone in and recording with DVR: No Mic. Using an Elgato Capture, No mic. looking for audio settings in XBox One for maybe Bluetooth, Doesn’t exist.. Connecting mic to PC with Xbox App on Windows ten and using Game bar to include audio making sure mic wasn’t muted. Still nothing.. Only thing that does work is using bluetooth with my PC to connect my headset to capture with Elgato but of course ran into sound quality issues FML..

Woaw two thousand seventeen and this still has not been stationary or added to XBox One. PlayStation four I simply just commence a game butt-plug in my mic, dual tap the Share button and begin liking ordinary effortless Game sharing practices.. Not only that but I can record five minutes to sixty minutes. Whats up with everything I attempt not including microphones at all.. When the Twitch app GIVES the option to Include my microphone and warns/alerts players in my party that I am recording/streaming to include their audio. Why wasn’t this just simply included at launch.

I would truly like to just be able to dual tap the Xbox (home or w/e it’s called) button and choose record movie (THAT’S LONGER THAN JUST five MINUTES COME ON..)

Can we please get this updated asap. 600+ Votes ten should’ve been enough.

Is this indeed the case or am I earnestly missing something or some options somewhere to include microphone.

Check the box to record my mic, huh? That’s funny, because I attempted that, and when going back in the recording, I noticed a rather distinct LACK of any microphone audio!

We want to record our headset mics and party talk on the Xbox one. We don’t want to have to go through a pc at all . Give us the option to select or deselect headset microphone and party talk so that we can lightly record our footage with our voices. Why is this so hard for you guys to do ? You’ve done so many cool things but a puny thing like this we have to use elgato and workarounds and more apps and more apps and more apps etc etc the list goes on.

No. This doesn’t work. It will record the laptop’s microphone, but not the headset microphone that’s connected to the Xbox controller. Why is it so hard to find a solution for this? With Twitch, you simply select "Include microphone" and then if you want, the other option is to "Include Party Talk". Why in the world can’t I find a way to do this on the Win10 Xbox App? I’m selecting to turn on the microphone, but it’s not pulling the mic feed from the controller.

I don’t want to have to use two headsets or microphones to record party games!

I have spent the last several hours attempting to make this work and searching the internet and all I can find is "work arounds" from using OBS to making splitters.

Come On Microsoft! This is a no brainer!

My mic works but it says please butt-plug in a mic. Suggestions? I have my headset plugged into my controller playing wirelessly on xbox one

But how do I record teamspeak in programs like discord or ventrillo?

should be able to record you mic using game dvr

You can do it in post with the clip editor app but why not add this option, except there should be a selection to even disable this

On my surface pro three I see the option for the mic which is awesome. However on my desktop which is totally up to date and has the same XBOX app version it is not there. Is this a bug, or is it attempting to look for a specific device or driver that I do not have?

Dude im not sure if this is already implemented but if not everyone vote this if you want this
