Founder of Le Chick Productions, Alek Legosteva recruited an incredible team, including several talented female developers to make her vision a reality and help lone shoppers all over the world to find the flawless look and make friends while doing it.
“When I got relocated with my job a duo of years ago, I found myself in a fresh place and not knowing anyone,” she explained. “With two youthfull children to look after, I had no time to go out and meet people or make fresh friends. I missed that social connection and realised I indeed, truly needed somewhere to find people to do some indeed basic stuff like shopping together. There are explosions of shopping apps for finding things and fountains of dating apps for finding a playmate but, very little to help those who find themselves in a situation like I did in a fresh place and not knowing anyone.
“I created ShoppingMate to help me meet fresh people and to pack that gap for others who also hanker a shopping friend and 2nd opinion when circumstances mean you don't have your network around you. It can be very lonely and my hope is that this app fills that basic need and helps users create that human connection.”
The Shopping Mate app is user-friendly, joy and accessible.
